Practice Briefs

Practice Briefs

These are program summaries that describe technical approaches used in VAC prevention; and emerging results including evidence of change and evidence of effectiveness (in situations where the intervention was subjected to rigorous scientific measurement). Practice briefs are useful sources of local knowledge and promising practices useful in improving the quality of program work and institutional policy measures on child protection and safeguarding.

Guidance note on compiling Practice Briefs from program interventions aimed at preventing violence against children.

Whereas there is no blueprint on what should constitute content for different knowledge products, in recognition of the fact that East Africa actors in VAC prevention have different capacities in documenting evidence; VaCNets Virtual hub hereby outlines essential elements for each knowledge product for guidance purposes and encourages users to do further research to enable generation of good quality knowledge products.

The outline below is not a blue print. It is only a guide for contextual application and hence further reading as you compile your Practice Brief is encouraged.
